Special attire is required:

 

All campers should wear long pants(breeches or stretch pants), Riding Helmet, and Riding boots. Please apply sunscreen prior to drop-off. (helmets and safety vests will be provided at no extra charge. Bicycle helmets are not safe for riding)

Lunch will be held from 12:30-1:00pm

  • All campers must bring a packed LUNCH/DINNER and a bottle of water labeled with their name and a change of clothes and swim suit. (We will be getting wet on hot days.)
  • If you are concerned with sharing helmets you may purchase one by downloading the purchase helmet form. (Helmet will be basic Troxel  ASTM certified riding helmet.) The helmet must be ordered and paid in full by . Price- 

What To Expect

Children will learn basic to advanced horsemanship depending on the prior experience of the child. How catch a pony from pasture, how to halter their pony. How to lead, groom, saddle, bridle and ride. As well as proper care and maintenence of a pony. Proper care and maintenence of tack. Differences in tack and equipment and how/what it is used for.  Introduction of anatomy and digestion. And of course riding/ instruction time daily as well as games on horse back and introduction to jumping. (Jumping may be on or off horseback depending on riding skills of the camper. This will be determined by the trainer)
